Due to the wide spread success of Hedgebrunch events we’ve regularly been met with high demand for a real estate focused event, and thus Real Estate Brunch was born. Modeled with the same ethos; social connections on a professional basis, the inaugural event on October 22nd lived up to our standards of high-end networking in fun, luxurious settings.
Set in the Rolls-Royce Showroom in Berkeley Square demand was so high that we were having to turn people away weeks before the night – always the sign of a good event. The guest list was comprised of London’s top real estate investors, allocators, supporting partners, and friends, plus some very special guests from music and fashion. The world’s only male super model, David Gandy, was in attendance and turning quite a few heads – as an astute investor himself and client of our lead partner for the night Nu Capital, it was great to have him there.
Upon arrival, each of our 200 guests was welcomed with a sparkling flute of Perrier Jouët, Absolut Elyx vodka or The Martell Sazerac cocktail – so popular we’ve added the recipe below!* Guests were instantly engaged in conversation; forging new relationships and catching up with familiar faces as they indulged in canapés prepared by Michelin starred restaurant Benares – situated right next door to the showroom.
Of course the car enthusiast amongst us we’re keen to get involved with the Rolls-Royce Wratih inspired by fashion and the accompanying couture dresses, muses for this particular model, from Julian McDonald wowed too, if the car wasn’t enough!
The Nu:capital fund launched on the evening, alongside Real Estate Brunch. The fund is the next step for one of London’s most desired and growing real estate development business – Nu:group. Investors, partners and friends alike were deep in conversation with founders Nick Jeffries, Richard Sadler and Bobby Console Verma.
After ample time to mingle, Hedgebrunch and Real Estate Brunch CEO, Gus Morison, took a brief moment to welcome members and talk about the ethos of the events, working with Nu and the continued partnership with H.R. Owen and Rolls-Royce. He was joined by Richard Sadler who uncovered more info about Nu Capital’s launch and the current projects they’re working on. Once the toasts ended, the distinguished violoinist Andrew Bernadi, took to the floor and played an enrapturing three minutes on an incredible 1696 Stradivarius, a significant investment piece in its own right given its recent 40% rise in value following a multi-million purchase by a collective a few years ago. Words can’t do the experience of hearing it in person justice and we hope to be seeing him at further events soon.
The inaugural Real Estate Brunch marked the start of something new and exciting for the real estate world, with more developments to come – stay tuned for the next Real Estate event.
*The Martell Sazerac: Martell Cordon Bleu, stirred with Pernod Absinthe, gingerbread syrup, Peychauds bitters, then garnished with a lemon twist.
