150 of London’s finest hedgies, investors and friends joined us at the 3rd Annual HedgeBrunch Summer Party on July 23rd in London. Our venue for the occasion was the spectacular 12 Hay Hill Business Members Club in Mayfair, and so fitting it was. This brand new space is set to be a significant centre for hedge funds and wider alternative finance groups not only in London, but across the world, so we felt firmly at home.
As ever at HB there was an even balance of allocators, funds and supporting partners there for the evening. With each guest welcomed with a chilled glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne, it didn’t take long for our familiar members to welcome the first-timers into the fold, showing them how it’s done and forging new connections across the board. Add to that canapés from Michelin starred celebrity Chef Shaun Rankin and we were off!
Paul Fleming, of Fleming Private Office, commented “With so many suit-and-tie, name-badged and panel discussion focused events, HedgeBrunch is providing something totally different and exciting. It’s such a breath of fresh air to network and connect with true experts from within and outside of the hedge fund industry, in a non-pressurised, quality, social setting.”
The event was supported by lead sponsor Volzhenka Caviar (joining us at HedgeBrunch Ibiza too) alongside our favourite luxury auto partners, Rolls-Royce. A few HedgeBrunch guests even enjoyed a chauffeur pick-up and drop of service from office to club to home – making it quite an experience all round. We were sure to be on perfect time with Vacheron-Constanin too, as guests marvelled at the wearable collection-worthy pieces on show and team sponsors Afex, Geneu and US fashion label Dennis Basso, added to a great team effort all round.
“From start to finish everything about the evening has been spot on and great fun too. I was fortunate enough to be offered a chauffeur car – so to be driven here, meet a group of interesting people in such a lovely setting, then be whisked home in style was quite special!” Said Bobby Console-Verma, CEO of Tower Gate Capital.
HedgeBrunch CEO, Gus Morison took a brief pause from mixing with guests to say hi and cover the group’s most recent developments alongside a welcome from Simon Robinson, CEO of 12 Hay Hill. Simon told us more about the club and its state-of-the art offices, business lounges, private meeting rooms and boardrooms. It really is quite an impressive space.
All HedgeBrunch members are eligible for a very special offer on Hay Hill membership throughout August 2015 where the club’s management have kindly waived the joining fee for us, spaces for this are limited! Read more and apply here.
The 3rd annual HedgeBrunch Summer Party will return next year but of course not before many more events around the world. To stay in touch make sure you have signed up and do contact us for more information about the group or explore working with us.
