Over 200 guests joined us at Steam & Rye, a beautiful new City of London based concept bar evoking the entrepreneurial adventures of 19th century Mid-West America – suitably apt inspiration for our dynamic industry at the frontiers of the investment landscape. The Christmas spirit was in full force and we were pleased to see so many friends and supporters for the afternoon enjoying the chance to network alongside a little day time champagne (it was Christmas after all!)
As usual we provided guests with a gourmet buffet to help soak up the copious amounts of festive spirit being enjoyed in the week leading up the 25th. Alongside this American soul food brunch the resident DJ made sure that allocators, funds and friends alike were well in the mood.
Institutional investors from the likes of Bain Capital, JPMorgan and Gruss Asset Management had a great soundtrack to discuss their Christmas plans and figure out challenges for the year ahead.
Following on from the Autumn HedgeBrunch a charity auction was conducted in aid of British Breast Cancer Care. Prizes were snapped up quickly with thousands raised for the cause. One lucky bidder took the top prize of a long weekend in the Big Apple courtesy of Virgin Holidays & HIP Hotels. Quite a way to start the end of year break!
Sponsors included two of our strongest supporters, Murano Systems and Peregrine Communications along with new additions in the form of Xpono Digital and The Hedge Fund Journal. As the last event of 2013 – in HedgeBrunch’s first year – this was the perfect send-off!
